Water — The Void of Growth and Maturation
Water is the deepest and quietest phase — what happens after a piece is finished, in the artist who made it. It is the slow, invisible maturing that only time and repetition can produce.
Water shows itself in:
- Reflection — returning to a finished piece with fresh eyes, weeks or months later
- Absorption — letting a lesson sink in below conscious thought, until it simply becomes part of how you see
- Renewal — the way one completed work quietly seeds the next
Water carries the artist back to Wood — a new seed, already forming, drawn from everything the last painting taught. This is the cycle that never truly ends.
